Professional
Information
I am currently
working on a Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering focusing
on Digital Signal Processing at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology
- Indianapolis, Indiana.
Current Graduate Classes:
Digital Signal Processing
/ Filter Design
Multimedia Systems
(Entropy Coding, JPEG, MPEG, Speech Coding, etc.)
Computational Models and
Systems (Algorithm analysis and design, data structures)
I
recently finished my Bachelor's in Music at the
University of Miami studying
Music Engineering.
I also just finished my first summer internship at
Shure, Inc. in
Chicago. My duties included developing and implementing a new
audio processing algorithm on an Analog Devices SHARC DSP and
testing DSP functional blocks.
I have been
invited to intern again at Shure for Summer 2006. In addition,
I currently have a dialog open to have my thesis sponsored by Shure.
Signal Processing Standards with
which I am familiar:
MPEG Layer 3 Perceptual
Audio Coding
MPEG Video
JPEG
Dolby Digital AC-3
ADPCM
LPC
CELP
Huffman entropy coding
Arithmetic entropy coding
Ziv-Lempel (zip file)
I have job experience
in DSP Development, recording studio
mechanical and electrical/electronics
maintenance,
generator repair (both
mechanical and electrical), assistant planning
at an oil refinery, and electronics sales.
These are a list of
classes pertinent to professional activities:
